Greetings everyone, new member here!

I'm about to turn in my application on Monday, all set with documentation, and my class is scheduled with First State Firearms on March 20th (earliest I could get).

A couple questions before I turn in the application:

1. Is it absolutely worth waiting for the class before I turn in the application? How much time to the process does it really add?
2. Anyone have a sense as to how long things are currently taking in NCC?
3. Any other tips before I apply?

Thanks!

Mike

Since you have a month before training, I would submit now.
Tips - re-read the app instructions. Two copies of the paperwork write your name on the back of your photos in case they get separated.
Good luck!

They suggest writing name in pencil because if in pen it might show through when they scan the photo.
I agree submit now.  Just look at the numbers of newspaper notices in NJ and downstate in The Guide.  Incredible numbers of applicants.  Also lots of renewals now being processed.

Just dropped off the application today, anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months I was told  :(
The wait begins!

I can cut your wait time for the class by a week (no big deal in time savings).
Our next class is the 13th.  9:00AM until done (usually 11 hrs).

Since you submitted your paperwork w/o certificate, you will receive a letter
from the court stating you have been approved and you have 90 days from
the date of the letter to submit the certificate or you will be automatically
denied.

If you are interested in the class, PM me and I'll get you more info.

BTW, the waiting SUCKS!
