HR 358 contains amendments to 18 USC 926 aka FOPA.
The bill adds:
"staying in temporary lodging overnight, stopping for food, fuel, vehicle maintenance, an emergency, medical treatment, and any other activity incidental to the transport"
And
"When a person successfully asserts this section as a defense in a criminal proceeding, the court shall award the prevailing defendant a reasonable attorney’s fee."

Currently in House Committtee on the Judiciary.
Just a smelly deplorable dreg of society clinging to God and guns.

Good post CB!!

Very important that this now provided FOPA protection for transport by means other than your car. I read this to cover transport by any means. Bike, boat, plane, on foot.

Major effect of this will be to end the arrests of honest citizens checking a firearm at New Jersey or New York airports.

As I read it, you could carry in a locked container as part of your transport.

And the burden of proof is on the prosecution.

We all need to ask are congressmen to support HR 358. I know, this won't happen in DE but we can at least let them know that we support it.
