Shootings in Canada

Wednesday 3 RCMP Officers were shot and killed and 2 others were wounded.
This is in Moncton, New Brunswick, a common stop on my travels, just 2.5 hours from my home in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Several friends live in Moncton and surrounding areas.

And the entire town hid inside their houses for two to three days. The entire town was shut down. Pathetic.

So says the news requests anyways. From what I'm told from friends in Moncton most people went about their own business of going to and from work, leaving their homes to shop, etc.

From what I know of Canadian gun laws, even though this guy was on the loose, the citizens would still be required to keep their guns unloaded and locked up.
Pathetic.
