Well fellas, I stopped by to visit our favorite FFL on my way back from a trip to visit a client who's a guest at the State bed and breakfast in Smyrna and picked up my new HK P30L. Can't wait to get this guy out to the range. And while I was there, Chris also let me fondle an HK MK23...wow, that thing is cartoonishly big and really reeks of over engineering like no other HK. And that's saying something.
A big thanks to Chris again for getting this hooked up!

Nice pistols Marc! I've had a HK45 for a long time.

Thanks. I had an opportunity to put some ammo down range today. It fed fires and ejected all 280 rounds. The only little niggle is the ejection part. It seemed a little bit weak, but not problematic. I'm planning to shoot it some more over the weekend.
I'm happy to report that accuracy is excellent as long as I do my part. The only other thing that I noticed is that I short stroked the trigger a good few times as I'm used to the much shorter trigger reset of my P229 with the SRT trigger.
Overall I'm very happy with the new blaster!

Nice piece, chris sold me a mk 23 a few years ago. When i sit it next to my 50ae desert eagle its pretty much the same size

That Mark 23 is enormous. I'm happy to report that I shot the P30L again this morning and the ejection was much better. To be fair though, I did take give it a thorough clean and lube last night and yesterday's range trip was just straight out of the box. Just wiped off the excess oil from shipping, loaded up some mags and ran her.
