Shotgun Private Party Sale

(1/2) > >>

SweetPete:
Good afternoon, everyone. Short and sweet, I haven't bought or sold a long gun in a while and was wondering: If when selling a shotgun to another private party, must it be at a FFL location. It's an older Remington 1100. Thanks in advance for any help!

oldgraygeek:
If I am not mistaken (IANAL, YMMV):
--Private firearms transfer between DE residents must be done at a FFL
--This is not required if the purchaser has a valid CCDW permit

JOET:
I am thinking you are exactly right OGG...Maybe Chris will chime in....

SturmRugerSR9:
I dxxon't thxxxink it appxxxlies to shoxxxtguns. I stand corrected

Federal Firearm:
that is correct...applies to all firearms...exceptions air rifles/blackpowder.
exempted are conceal permit holders and family members
