Let me see if I undestand the current legislation pending. Biden says he supports a 1 yr mandatory sentence for a crinimal(person not allowed) caught with a gun. The new assault weapons ban says that if I do not register my AR within 120 days of passage of the bill I could get 5 yrs. The criminal gets 1 yr, the legal owner of a legally purchased firearm gets 5 yrs...........HMMMMMMMM??? Am I missing something?
to add: There was a plan many years ago, when Colm Connelly was made US attorney, and Wilmingtons gun crime was just becoming a problem. Any bad guy caught with a gun was turned over to the feds(Connelly) and would get 5 yrs with no barginning of the gun crime. This was similar to a program that was very successful in Richmond called 'project exile'. If was very effective there, but never got wings here. Anyone recall this?
