NRA & National Gun News / Re: 10 Companies that don't want guns in their stores.

I will continue to frequent some of these stores as I need their services and I will continue to carry concealed as I visit these stores as needed.
As was previously stated, they now have opened up their business for a mass shooting.

I always carry on me when driving. If I intend on leaving my truck or car, I use a gun vault in the console, like if I go to a Gov't bldg.
But I never use anything to carry my pistol, other than my V3.

I like how it looks easy to access, but crash worthless is kind of a big deal to me. I feel I'm more likely to be in a car accident than a shooting, so I'd be concerned that the pistol could "get lost" or become a projectile during an accident.

I have the same concerns.  All forms of carry will have its own limitations and the best we can do is to try to guard against what each one of us feels is the most likely scenario.  I will probably keep using this for now until I fine something better.

Plea deals, plain and simple. I do not have a study to back me up, just 37 years working in prisons. Criminals are smart enough to avoid as many firearm charges as as they can. They will try to have as many dropped as possible in making their deal. Prosecutors go along to lessen the backlog of trials.

No one seems to listen.  There is no gun crime, there are only criminals that use guns as one of their tools.  As a poorly informed person wrote in the News Urinal last week, "there one thing in common with gun crime, guns and bullets".  Sorry the one thing that crime has is criminals.  The usual tool is almost always obtained illegally.

I've written, called, and emailed my State Senator and Representative about this numerous times. (Townsend and Osienski)

No replies received.

I'm not radical or inflammatory in my pleas to them. I calmly ask that they please put pressure on the AG to not plea bargain any gun crimes. 100% enforcement of the laws we have would work wonders for curbing violent crime.

Whatever works for you. Personally, I would consider using the glove box. That's assuming it can be reached easily.

I even carry a pocket knife with a window breaker and seat belt cutter in such a way I could reach it with either hand. I've never been in anything worse then a fender bender, but my military background has made me a little concerned about safety, especially in transportation.
