Title: Ammo at......
Post by: Sigarms12 on December 23, 2012, 11:47:55 PM
In an effort to prevent numerous threads about where someone found ammo, I figured I would start a thread specific to who has ammo in stock. Please consider if someone post ammo at say Walmart it will be gone within 6 to 12hrs, so please include the location, ammo type, time and date found.

Web had some listed for Dec specials.   I'll check with Tews Armory to see if his contact can get some on group buy.

Armory, looks to still have 1k round boxes. http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/223_ammunition.html

$600 .   plus shipping.

Saw that too.  guessing 200 or less!  Have not bought 223 in a while.  It's around .50/ea isn't it?

I'm planing on reloading, hense the sale of some other calibers.
Brass chatchers on my new toy.   woooohooo.

CTD had some, that were 900 for 1k rounds.   penetrators?     or is it called gouging. lol ..   same effect.

Anyone for pellet guns this weekend?
Title: Re: Ammo at......
Post by: Adrenolin on January 06, 2013, 02:55:51 AM
Lol the gouging is horrible right now. I've got a Benjamin Marauder .22 PCP pellet rifle with hand pump. It's a ton of fun, cheap (after the initial hurt from the purchase), deadly accurate and extremely powerful... for an air gun. I've been thinking of picking up one of the .50 cal PCP air rifles at some point as well.. before they get regulated, banned or worse. They hunt water buffalo with the .50 cal PCP rifles and no FFL or government BS required.. Yet.

Let the Air Gun Shooting start! :)

Middletown Walmart had just gotten in two separate shipments of ammo.  About an hour ago they still had a good bit of federal 9mm 100 round value packs, wwb .380 and some .40.

Well they are 6 boxes of 9 mm shorter now. ;D

That's a good site, my browser was alarming a lot this afternoon with all sorts of calibers at not-too-bad pricing. Was able to get a case of 9mm. :) (tip: you can leave the page open in a tab and it'll refresh if something new is added)

But, last night I scored a few cases of .223 by being lucky enough to open http://www.slickguns.com/category/ammo shortly after Cabellas added some Herters steel-cased.  I highly recommend watching that site regularly.

You have to jump right on the deals you cant wait & its best if you already have an account setup already.
I have gotten a few good deals on Palmetto State Armory - I'm watching some 22LR to come in stock again missed it twice :(
That's ok I'll get it sooner or later !

Yup.. Everyone is on the waiting lists for email notify and watching sites often. I setup a few new accounts at new sites and have been lucky enough to jump on as soon as the emails come through. Have a good deal of my standard mags for the important firearms this way, have found the ammo I've wanted also.

Only thing I haven't been able to get yet are the 10-round mags in 9mm for my Walther PPQs. Just in case you know...

Gotta be super fast these days as new stock sells out in minutes! Not days or hours.

Targetmaster had several popular calibers on display this morning: 5.56, .308, 9mm, .40, .45...
We bought a 500-round case of American Eagle .308 for $424 with sales tax. The 5.56 is $299 plus tax for 500 rounds.

We did run 100 rounds through it at Ommelanden. Great rifle. I got a decent "battle zero" on it, as the instructions spelled out.
Now, I need to get it out somewhere where I can shoot at distance, and load more than ten rounds per magazine...

I had a friend post a picture on Facebook on Friday that the Cheswold (Dover) Walmart had a bunch of ammo, more than I've ever seen there.  So when I went in on Sunday I took a look and they still had lots of 7.62, 5.56 and of course shotgun ammo.  They also had ammo cans that had (if I remember correctly) 700 rds of 7.62, 900 of 5.56 and 1200 of 9mm the prices for the cans varied from like $457-500.  So might be worth checking out if your looking for some, or even if you just want to buy and post online it might be worth it. They had at least 8-10 cans when I was in there.

In talking to the guy at the firearms counter that day, i asked him if they followed the policy of the Dover Mall about no guns allowed.  I told him I wasn't carrying but I did have a CCW permit. He said if you have a ccw permit and are carrying concealed, concealed means concealed, so how would he know you were carrying? So I'm taking it that Dick's Sporting Goods doesn't care if you are carrying, as long as it is concealed.

Roughly $37 bucks each is what I paid. A supervisor said they gave me a discount since I waited almost 50 minutes before they could find the keys to open the display. I bitched a little about a department left with no staff.. especially this time of year. He agreed and was very apologetic. I wasn't that upset.. Just hadn't had dinner yet :)

I find it crazy how .22 has all but disappeared and when found the going price is at minimum 5x the original price last year. I'm so happy I placed a bulk order last December, just weeks before Sandy Hook. If I had to pay current pricing on .22 I wouldn't. I'd rather shoot my .22 Benjamin PCP air rifle. Heck at the current price of .22lr ammo it would be worth buying one of the PCP rifles. :)

Girl Scout Cookie booth with my daughter at Elkton Super Walmart.  Had to check for ammo before I left.  They had most everything 7.62, 5.52, .223, 45, 9mm -4 boxes left - but had the 1200 round 497.00 ammo box deal (which really isnt).

No  .40 or .22

Was so mad when I realized that I Volunteered in MD... Not my first choice.  The next Booths will be in DE.

To each their own, but just as an fyi you know the girl scouts have taken a hard left lately supporting and recognizing those like Nancy Pelosi and wendy davis as "role models" right? TO each their own some support them. Many dont' know. I had someone at the mall ask me and when I declined cookies the parent is like "come on just 1 box". I would not have said something, but I informed them of some of the ties with PLanned parenthood and Girl SCouts. The parent did not have a clue. I told her to look it up, but again to each their own. I just hate it when people don't know.

Didn't know that, but will look into it thanks,  I thought it was a good thing for my daughter to do.   I think the cookie sale thing is a bit ridiculous, but I understand that they have to pay for trips and such for the troop.  The troop is almost pushy to have the girls take cookie booth time., which I don't like.  I'll most likely do more than the required hours with my daughter, but I will not be standing outside with her in the cold for more than 2 hours at a time.

Sethinde

Most Maryland Walmarts still sell rifles, shotguns and ammo. They are not subject to Markell/Biden.
I know they have enough faults of their own with O'Malley, but you are still able to buy guns and ammo in Walmart. I stop to the one in Denton and Easton once in a while to get ammo, which they usually have.

Thanks for the info Silverbullet. Maybe we could start a posting listing businesses and organizations that support the left and right? I've heard AARP is left, but have never researched that.

www.gunbot.net (http://www.gunbot.net) is very legit. I have made many purchases from the links listed. They are very accurate on current pricing from the sources listed.

Gunbot is great. I've used it twice for ammo and when I got my reloading bench setup I watched its reloading/powder section for about 2 weeks. On a refresh I found a half dozen powders available which I specifically wanted and placed a sizable order to offset the hazmat fee on shipping powder.

Note.. If you wish to use it for powder you really need to be fast! I've seen some places sell trailer loads of supplies in minutes once its listed on Gunbot.

http://www.xtremebullets.com/default.asp

XTremeBullets currently has all Plated bullets on sale ending today for 10% off using code 10offALLplated (case sensitive). I believe they also offer free shipping as well. Good bullets, free and fast shipping on both my orders.

Figured I'd pass this along to any reloaders looking for a new supply  ;D

Ditto on X-Treme. I have loaded more than 2000 of them in 9mm and .40 S&W and they have been very good.

I too have had trouble finding .44 special.  Did get a box at Oaks show last week for $28.00 / 50.  Only box the guy had.

I refuse to darken the door of Dicks but .13 a round is no bargain.

Least expensive 22lr at Cabela's yesterday was 11 cents/rnd. Browning hp 100 rnd boxes.
Seems like 9mm isnt quite as plentiful lately. Still available but not in quantity.

<8 cents a round sounds better than 11 or 13. Support your local FFL.

Just received this email:

We have found the .22LR ammo...

I found .22 at Walmart today. I haven't seen this much .22 on the Walmart shelf in over six years. They had shorts, shotshell, and more LR than I would comfortably carry. Remington Thunderbolt, Remington GB, CCI Standard, Winchester Super-X, Federal AutoMatch, and probably one or two others I forgot. Dozens of boxes of each.

The Federal is selling for $14.84 per 325 (4.6 cents each). I think the CCI was in 50 round boxes, $3.47 a box (6.9 cents). The Super-X was the most expensive, at over $8 ($8.97 maybe?) for a box of 100.
