The attached picture was clipped from coverage of today's military parade in China.

Does anyone know what this guy is carrying?

It's definitely a Norinco, looks like a QBZ-95B-1. A modified carbine variant of their QBZ-95. Civilian models would be the NQZ03A and NQZ03B.
