Title: Delaware CCW Renewal Process
Post by: Sigarms12 on January 04, 2010, 08:11:58 PM
The renewal process is a lot easier then the initial application since all you need to do is fill out the application and get new passport photos taken. The renewal cost is $65.00 and permits are good for five years. The earliest you may submit your application is the first business day of the year your permit is up for renewal.

Applications can be found here: http://courts.state.de.us/forms/download.aspx?ID=33068

Application:
You must complete your application and have it notarized. (The Prothonotary Office will notarize a document for a $1.00 fee) You must file all paperwork, with the Prothonotary's Office. Remember to answer all questions truthfully and to the best of your ability any omission of information or failing to answer a question truthfully can be grounds for denying your application. The statutory filing fee is $65.00.
Cash, money order or personal check, made payable to the "PROTHONOTARY" will be accepted.
(Credit cards are accepted in Kent County ONLY)

  Photographs:
You must supply two 1.5”x 1.5” color passport-style photographs, taken within the six-month period immediately preceding the filing of the application. You can have these done at most any Walgreen’s for about $9.00 or the USPS for $15.

As of right now the Prothonotary's Office is saying that you will receive your new permit by May 31'st at the latest, no mater when you submit your application they can not give a more accurate time table for renewals.
