Trade off a little weight in the frame for more rounds.  Carry 15+1 of .45

The public is CLUELESS.  Heads stuck in their phones (and other places).

I really dislike plastic guns!!  The feel of a 1911 says shoot me, it won't hurt you.  But yes, they are a bit harder for CC use, big, heavy, bulky.  I know Todd loves his plastic .45's.  But I usually carry my little Smith 637, .38+P.  The 1911 may get to ride in my truck.

John Browning certainly got this design right and over 100 years later it still holds up. I've had a colt commander (.45 ACP)  for almost 30 years. It bites a bit, but one of the most accurate handguns I own.

Lot of big egos on that site. Tolerable but requires a break now and again.

Also, documents that showed I received income from work I do in MD.

This part seems to be key to getting a Maryland permit. The few people I know who were successful in obtaining their permit all had some form of business in the state that involved money. Preferably cash transactions.
Maryland is known to add restrictions to their permit. They could grant him one, but restrict it to business travel only.

Since it is in MD, I would not take any bets in your favor, but it could happen..  Good Luck!!!

10-1 update.

All my references have been called. I got a phone call today from each of them telling me that they received a call from the MD SP asking about my permit request.
They all told me that they gave very positive responses.

Ok, I am now 6 plus weeks into my application.
Any guesses as to when I will finally know? How about a poll?
The wait continues....

Delaware News / Re: WGMD - 70% of Gun Charges Dropped in 2018

No one seems to listen.  There is no gun crime, there are only criminals that use guns as one of their tools.  As a poorly informed person wrote in the News Urinal last week, "there one thing in common with gun crime, guns and bullets".  Sorry the one thing that crime has is criminals.  The usual tool is almost always obtained illegally.

You sir are absolutely correct.
