This one won't conceal too well...
« on: October 31, 2016, 10:53:39 PM »
I went down to see Chris, and brought home a new 7.62mm Armalite AR-10 Defensive Sporting Rifle.
It's his fault... for having it in stock!  :D

Au contraire! The archetypal progressive accuses others of performing the very misdeeds that they are in fact doing. Alas, I wish that I was guilty. :(

Nice rifle. Are you adding anything to it? Bipod? Red dot or scope? Bet that thing is accurate for 300 yards or more if you can find a place to shoot it. Congrats.

It came without sights or optics. I'm thinking about using the standard "carry handle" and front post sight.
Before I make that decision, I'm going to get this 4-rail handguard from Armalite:

Awesome. Smart to have options for "all of the above". I love these rifles and shoot my AR as much as possible. It is a fun shooting sport some just don't understand. I found the bipod increased my pleasure at the range since you are required to sit. I'd rather test my skill standing and have at a friends farm. That's why the 4 rail system is so cool. You can have a scope and red dot or iron sight. Can't wait to see your final creation. Keep posting your progress.

I have 2 80% lowers(AR15/AR10), planning on building 2 NICE ones.  May take a while and the parts will probably cost more than a built one.  Sorry Chris.

I've been planning 2 ar15s and an ar10 from 80% lowers with jigs from Colfax Tactical. Likely start looking for specials over the sale season.  ;D

I went with a Ruger SR762 for my purchased rifle and couldn't be happier.

Once again OGG deepens the divide between the haves and the have-nots.  Sounds rather capitalist to me!
