Christiana Mall false reports of shots fired
« on: December 22, 2018, 03:49:07 AM »
I was at Christiana Mall tonight with my daughters 15 and 13, shopping for Christmas gifts for my wife. It was insanely busy as you can imagine and the whole time I just couldn't wait to get out. I kept close to my girls. We made our way to Target then exited and headed over to Cabela's. As we were checking out I noticed they were keeping people from going out the exit and directed back into store and away from front windows. My cell rings and its my wife in choked up voice saying she heard there is active shooter at mall.  I checked Twitter and there it was trending, Christiana Mall. Lots of rumors and calls and texts and heard everything from mass shooter with many victims to just a fight. Finally got all clear from Cabela's. Their staff remained calm and were very professional. My oldest kept her sister calm by the fish tanks and told "We're in the best place you could be". It was a bit unnerving but thankfully it turned out to be nothing.
